At SmithEdition we love the written word and believe there is always a way for an author to improve upon his or her intended message. After recognizing the demand for our services we launched SmithEdition as a means to that end. Our goal is to take your work and edit in a way that transforms it into a well written, fully understandable, and polished product. A well-structured document is the difference between mediocrity and greatness. Mediocrity is the quality of being average or ordinary. You can't be great at everything. But when it comes to publications we can make you great, we will be that difference. We’re passionate about words, putting them together clearly and concisely to convey a message that flows seamlessly can make a powerful impact. Proper word usage, grammar, punctuation, and clarity are key to making that positive first impression. These are the least respected and most important aspects of great writing. We see that need, that opportunity, and we’re excited to share our knowledge and expertise to turn mediocrity into greatness. We will help you stand out.
Being immersed in the legal profession for more than 40 years has provided me with a diverse background. I began practice with a large firm, proceeded to the intimacy of a smaller firm, was a sole practitioner for ten years, and have worked 22 years for state agencies, including as an Assistant Attorney General, serving as an administrative law judge for six years, and as staff counsel with the Corporation Commission. During this period I worked with and focused primarily on legal and business documentation in all forms and contexts and gleaned a wealth of knowledge from a broad spectrum of experiences. These business and legal experiences enable me to objectively analyze, edit, and improve such documentation, forms, and other writings emanating from a wide variety of sources. As an avid reader I have a passion for the written word. I am confident my skills and abilities will improve and be beneficial to your written submissions regardless of type or subject matter.

With over 32 years working in the corporate world, I bring to the table a vast background in medical services, the airline and hotel industries, and amateur and professional sports. I have enjoyed every minute of the journey. My experiences have provided me with great opportunities to create, recreate, and improve original, innovative, and relevant content. Many writers do well relating their story and getting the basics down on paper. However, they struggle to keep their message flowing in the right direction while attempting to captivate the reader. As a result, their story takes a detour. My ability to add creativity to the story line and get it back on track helps bring a fresh, well written approach to the writer's work. Each story is new and different. I embrace the challenge of taking a writer's draft and weaving it into a compelling and meaningful story. I'm excited to lend that same approach to your work.
